Fire Safety

In a house fire, or any fire you need to know the ways to get to safety. There are also supplies and skills you need to minimize the chance of a fire.

All houses should have a fire alarm in their hallway. Never have a fire alarm inside a bedroom because when it goes off the fire would already be a fire and the smoke would have spread.  You need to put new batteries in your fire alarm every 12 months. You also need to clean it and give it a wipe because if there is a lot of dust inside of it, it would catch Fire.

All rooms in your house should have a window just in case there is a fire against your door. You have to smash the window with something strong in your room. I know your Mum would rather you over a window. Then you place a blanket/towel on the window so that you won’t cut yourself while you are getting out.

If your house does not have a fire plan and there is a fire inside your house, you are in trouble. Your family won’t know where to meet up and one person may end up stuck inside the house with no clue what is going on.

If your house has a fire place, you should have something around it for safety. You could accidently burn yourself if you do not have one and may be left with the burn for life.

So, make sure you have all of these things and it will lower your risk of being in serious danger.
